Return & Refund Policy

Overview
BD Economist (bdeconomist.com) is a digital subscription service. We do not ship physical goods, so no physical returns apply. This policy explains when you are entitled to a refund for a paid subscription and how refunds are processed.
Refund Eligibility
You may request a refund in the following cases:
- Duplicate or erroneous charge — you were billed more than once for the same subscription period, or charged an incorrect amount.
- Service not delivered — payment was completed but your plan was not activated on your account.
- First-purchase guarantee — if you are not satisfied with your first paid subscription, you may request a full refund within 7 days of the initial purchase.
- Billing after cancellation — you cancelled a subscription but were charged for a subsequent period.
Refunds are not available for partial subscription periods already consumed, or for accounts terminated due to a violation of our Terms & Conditions.
Refund Timeline
Approved refunds are processed and credited back to the original payment method within 7 to 10 working days from the date the refund is approved.
Depending on your bank, card issuer, or mobile financial service (e.g., bKash, Nagad), it may take additional time for the refunded amount to appear in your statement.
How to Request a Refund
- Email cradnan@gmail.com from the email address associated with your BD Economist account.
- Include the transaction ID (from your payment confirmation), the date of the charge, and the reason for the request.
- Our team will review and respond within 2 working days. If approved, the refund follows the timeline above.
Cancellation
You can cancel a recurring subscription at any time from your account settings or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future billing; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period.
Payment Methods
Payments in Bangladesh (BDT) are processed securely via SSLCommerz (cards, mobile banking such as bKash, Nagad and Rocket, and internet banking). Refunds are always returned to the original payment method used at checkout.
